The well-appointed Sixth Form Centre, a theatre, arts studios and the only World Rugby and FIFA-approved all-weather pitch in North Devon, alongside the leadership roles that make the last two years feel different from the first five.

The Sixth Form Centre gives students their own space for private study and time together, with the central Library close by. Free periods are theirs to manage, which builds the academic independence that university will ask of them.

Across the campus, students use a theatre, arts studios and sports facilities that include the only World Rugby and FIFA-approved all-weather pitch in North Devon, all within the UNESCO Biosphere of North Devon.

Pastoral care that reaches students early

Wellbeing sits at the centre of everything at Kingsley, because a healthy mind supports the focus, memory and resilience that high performance depends on. Every student has a personal Sixth Form tutor who supports them inside and outside the classroom, and pastoral care reaches students before small worries become large ones.

Sixth Form boarders live in Belvoir House for girls or Longfield for boys, with recently refurbished study-bedrooms, recreational lounges and kitchen-cafes, supported by Heads of Boarding and a settled house community.

Do Sixth Formers have their own space?

Yes. The Sixth Form Centre is theirs, for private study and for time together, with the central Library close by.

Is there a Sixth Form open evening?

Yes. This year's Sixth Form open evening is on Thursday 15 October 2026, for Year 11 pupils whether they are new to Kingsley or continuing here. Visitors tour the Sixth Form Centre and sport facilities, meet subject teachers and talk to current Sixth Formers. You can also book a visit at any time.

Can students continue sport at a high level?

Yes. The sport academies cover football through FC Rise, rugby, netball, gymnastics and judo, and Outdoor Education runs Ten Tors, the Surf Academy and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The all-weather pitch is North Devon’s only FIFA and World Rugby-approved surface.
