The kind of young person we are looking for
We are looking for young athletes who have attended training regularly and have already competed outside school in local, regional, national or international matches or competitions. You will be able to demonstrate progress and aptitude, supported by a reference from your current coach or club. Scholars also give their time to mentor and coach younger students, and speak up for sport across the school.

What a scholar receives
- Automatic enrolment onto the Sport ACE Programme, which supports every athlete to become the best they can be.
- Discipline-specific talent development through our Academy programmes in judo, gymnastics, rugby, football and netball, or, for a General Sports Scholarship, support arranged with external organisations.
- The chance to compete for the school in local, national and international competitions.
- Your name etched onto the Sports Scholarships' Board, and a place at the annual Scholars' Day.
- A generous scholarship award against published fees.
What to send, and by when
Complete the Scholarship Application Form with a personal statement, a reference from your current coach or club, and any relevant certificates and supporting documents. Places follow trials and acceptance, and applicants for rugby, football and netball scholarships are formally assessed in a real-game situation with their current club or team. To receive an invitation for a scholarship interview, you must complete the application by 31st October 2026.
Generous, and awarded case by case
A generous scholarship award against published fees, with a place on the Sport ACE Programme, Academy coaching in your discipline and the chance to represent the school. A limited number of awards are available for Year 12 entry in rugby, football and netball.
Apply for a scholarship
Completing this form starts a scholarship application. Once we have the details and documents below, the admissions team will be in touch to arrange an assessment and an interview, and to talk through the pathway that would suit your child.
