Belvoir is led by Mrs Jess Willoughby, Director of Boarding and Belvoir Houseparent, who lives in the house with her family and offers the steady, everyday care that helps a girl feel safe and part of something. New boarders are paired with a buddy from day one, so there is always a familiar face to show them how things work.
Girls board within a co-educational school, sharing lessons and the wider life of Kingsley with everyone else, then come back to a house that is theirs, where the people looking after them notice how their day has gone. As one parent told us, “The atmosphere in Belvoir House made her feel like she was in a second home.”

Girls live in study-bedrooms with space to work and rest. The house is well stocked with everyday essentials and locally sourced treats, so a girl who runs out of something, or just wants a taste of home, is looked after.

An easy rhythm to it
Girls eat together at shared meals, which is often where friendships take hold and the day gets talked through. Weekdays run from a 7:00am start to supper at 6:00pm, followed by leisure time in the house.
Weekends bring trips to the Devon coast, local beaches and national parks, and Bideford Cinema in the school theatre shows the latest films at no extra charge, so there is always something to look forward to.
