What you will study
The course develops practical and leadership skills through surfing, skateboarding and coastal-based activities:
Students may add industry awards, delivered in-house where possible:
- participation in sport, outdoor and adventurous activities
- leading activity sessions
- planning, delivering and evaluating sessions
- RLSS Beach Lifeguard
- Surfing England Level 1 Instructor
- Skateboarding GB Level 1
How it is assessed
The course is coursework based, assessed through written tasks, practical application and reflective evaluation.
Where it leads
It opens further study and vocational routes in sport, outdoor education and the coastal industries, with careers in coaching, instruction and beach safety. Coastal Adventures sits within Kingsley's Outdoor Education, and talented performers can apply through the Sports Scholarship.
