Weekends are laid-back. The morning bell rings at 10:00am, a hearty brunch follows at 10:45am, and weekend activities begin at midday, making the most of the Devon coast, local beaches, national parks and tourist spots.
The boarding team is there throughout, so every boarder feels settled and looked after. Boarders can also explore the market town of Bideford, with its supermarkets, cafes and independent shops, and half-term residential boarding is available for those who stay through the break.

The sea and the coast around us
Kingsley sits in the UNESCO Biosphere of North Devon, close to a World Surfing Reserve, and weekends are an ideal time to make the most of it. The Surf Academy, named UK Surf School of the Year 2026, and the Outdoor Education Pathway give boarders plenty of ways to get out on the water and along the coast.
The sea and the coastline are a real resource for confidence and wellbeing, and time spent in them is one of the things boarders remember most from their years here.
