How it is assessed
Assessment is by written examination across the two years, following the AQA specification.
Where it leads
Psychology leads to degrees and careers in educational, clinical and research psychology, and into policing, advertising, marketing, counselling and sports coaching. It pairs well with A-Level Biology, sits alongside two further A-Levels and the EPQ, and connects to the Top Universities Programme for competitive courses. How to apply
Entry is GCSE English grade 5 and, if the subject has been studied, GCSE Psychology grade 6; pass grades in Maths and Science, especially Biology, are beneficial. Book a visit to meet the department and see the Sixth Form in action.
