What you will study
The course combines Core Pure and Applied Mathematics. The applied element covers both mechanics and statistics, so students meet the modelling and data skills used across science and economics. Students who are strong in maths can add A-Level Further Mathematics as a second subject.
How it is assessed
Assessment is 100% examination, with three papers taken at the end of Year 13. An AS option is available after the first year.
Where it leads
Maths is much sought-after in higher education and supports degrees and careers in economics, medicine, engineering, accountancy, psychology and the sciences.
