What you will study
The course has three components:
You work in studios with full sound, lighting and technical facilities, and the campus also has a professional theatre for staging productions.
- Theatre Workshop, a scripted performance supported by a creative log
- Text in Action, devised pieces with an evaluation report
- Text in Performance, a written examination covering Machinal, Saved and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
How it is assessed
Two components are practical and assessed through performance with accompanying written work, and the third is a written examination on the set texts.

Drama opens routes to degrees and careers in drama, performing arts, theatre production, teaching and the creative industries, building creativity, empathy and communication along the way. How to apply
Entry is GCSE Drama grade 6 if studied, or a portfolio assessment, plus GCSE English grade 5. To see the studios and theatre for yourself, book a visit.
