ASDAN awards are built around practical, evidence-based challenges rather than a fixed syllabus. Working through a portfolio of activities, you develop skills such as:
- communication and teamwork
- planning and independent learning
- enterprise and problem-solving
How it is assessed
Assessment is portfolio-based. You gather evidence of what you have planned, done and reflected on, which is then verified against ASDAN's award criteria. There is no written examination.
Where it leads
ASDAN develops transferable skills that strengthen applications for further study, apprenticeships and employment, giving useful evidence of independence, teamwork and enterprise. It complements a main study programme well, and you can read more about the wider offer in the Sixth Form Welcome.
How to apply
