The kind of young person we are looking for
We are looking for pupils who can show how they have developed their interest or knowledge outside the classroom, with a recent school report and a school reference that point to real ability and potential. Applicants for Years 7 to 11 sit a CAT4 assessment, which gives a measure of both ability and potential. Entry into Year 12 depends on five or more GCSEs at grades 7 to 9, including Mathematics and English and any subjects to be studied at A level.
What a scholar receives
- A supervised project in your chosen subject, matched to your stage: an Extended Project Qualification in the Sixth Form, a Higher Project Qualification in the Upper School, and a school-based project in the Lower and Prep School.
- The role of subject ambassador, organising and taking part in events and activities in your subject.
- A place in all internal and external subject competitions and events arranged by the Subject Lead.
- A generous scholarship award against published fees.
What to send, and by when
Complete the Scholarship Application Form, sending your most recent school report with indicative grades, a reference from your current school, a personal statement and any relevant certificates, and complete the academic online assessment. A separate application is needed for each individual subject or pathway. To receive an invitation for a scholarship interview, you must complete the application by 31st October 2026.
