A scholar is matched with specialist guidance in their field and follows a personal progression pathway that runs from September to July each year. The talent is the starting point, and the programme is how we develop it, so a young person arrives with a gift and leaves with the confidence and skill to take it further.
This is the difference between a scholarship and a simple fee discount.

Generous, and awarded case by case
Awards are tiered by school phase, so the level reflects whether a scholar is in the Prep years, the lower Senior years or the upper Senior years. Scholarships are generous, and each one is set case by case rather than to a fixed published figure, because the level depends on the year and on how many families apply. The admissions team will talk you through the support available for your child's year group.
A scholarship can be combined with a means-tested bursary, and doing so increases the total support a family receives. Where a talented child would benefit from a Kingsley education but the fees are a barrier, this combination is designed to make a place possible.
An application asks for three things
Once we have these, we invite scholars to show us what they can do and talk through the pathway ahead.
at least one relevant reference that speaks to the child’s talent
a statement of the applicant’s experience and achievements in their chosen field
supporting documents or media, such as recordings, a portfolio or competition results
Two rounds for September 2027 entry
31 October 2026
Applications completed by this date are invited to a scholarship interview, so applying in the early round gives scholars the best chance of an assessment slot.
31 May 2027
Later applications are considered where assessment slots remain, so it is still worth speaking to the admissions team if you have missed the early round.

Every award is assessed case by case. A great deal of what a scholar receives also comes in kind, such as specialist coaching, free lessons and examination entry in music and drama, and access to our Academy squads and facilities. The admissions team will explain what is available for your child's year group.
Can I combine a scholarship with a bursary?
Yes. A scholarship recognises a pupil's talent and a bursary responds to financial need, and holding both increases the total support a family receives. Speak to the admissions team about how the two work together.
