Dates through the year
A dedicated event for families joining in Year 7, and whole-school days for every age group. Each day includes tours led by staff and students, time with subject teachers, and the chance to meet our Headteacher, Mr Robert Pavis.
A visit is where wellbeing-led education becomes real
A private school open day gives you time with our staff and students, a look at wellbeing-led education in action, and a sense of a setting that sits five minutes from the North Devon coast. You leave knowing whether this is the right place for your child, because you have seen it for yourself.
Our education starts with wellbeing. Happier, more confident young people engage more fully, and that engagement is what leads to lasting achievement. A visit is where that becomes real: a lesson, a conversation with a pupil, and a tour of the grounds and facilities.
Come on a day that suits you
You do not have to wait for a scheduled event. We welcome families on any day that suits you, with a personal tour built around what matters most to your child. Mr Robert Pavis meets visitors himself, so you can ask the questions that count and get a direct answer.
A weekday visit also lets you see the school as it really runs, with lessons under way and the Expansive Curriculum in full swing. For families joining us from overseas, our International Admissions team can plan a visit around your travel, and assist with acommodation.

Some children know a school by spending a day in it
Our free taster scheme lets your child join us for a day, or several days, at no charge. They sit in lessons, meet the pupils they would learn alongside, and get a feel for daily life at Kingsley.
A boarding taster is available too, so a prospective boarder can experience an evening and overnight in one of our boarding houses before making any decision. Ask about a taster when you book.
Across the school, and the experiences that shape a Kingsley education
the Expansive Curriculum in action: Outdoor Education, Performing Arts, Sport, STEM and the Earth Centre, timetabled into the week
the coast and countryside we use as a teaching resource, within the UNESCO North Devon Biosphere and World Surf Reserve
our 24 acres of fields and woodland, orchards, gardens and Ecology Zones
our boarding houses, with a chance to see the accommodation and meet house staff on the day
a school at the centre of North Devon life, with 440 students on roll and more than 400 community users each week

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book?
For open days, please book so we can plan your tour and have the right staff on hand. For a personal tour on another day, booking is essential, and we ask for a little notice so the Headteacher and subject staff can be there to meet you. Call 01237 426200 or use the enquiry form.
Can my child spend a day here?
Yes. Our free taster scheme lets your child join us for a day, or several days, at no charge, sitting in lessons alongside the pupils they would learn with. A boarding taster is available too, including an evening and overnight in one of our boarding houses. Ask about a taster when you call.
Is there a sixth form open evening?
Yes. Alongside our Year 7 and whole-school open events, we hold a dedicated Sixth Form open evening where you can meet the Sixth Form team and hear about courses, university guidance and life in Year 12 and 13. You will find the dates listed on this page, and you are always welcome to arrange a personal visit too.
