Hello and welcome to this weeks video newsletter!

This week’s newsletter comes to you from Oxford, where we’re thinking ahead to the future as our Year 13 students confirm their university choices. With mock exams for Year 11 and Year 13 just around the corner, there’s still plenty of time for revision and preparation before the summer exams.

The big news this week is that Kingsley has been awarded the prestigious Artsmark Silver Award from Arts Council England, recognising our outstanding commitment to the arts. Kingsley is now one of only two secondary schools in the Southwest to achieve this accreditation. A huge thank you to Miss Cringle, Mr Trythall, and our talented students for making this possible!

In sport, our Under-12 netballers had a great tournament, winning one, drawing one, and narrowly losing one, with Rosie as the standout player. The Under-16 netball team secured another victory, while a depleted Under-16 rugby sevens squad showed resilience, winning two and losing two in the Devon County Cup, with Hamish shining in the semi-final. Our Under-13 rugby team celebrated a win, with Griff earning standout player honours. In judo, David, Willow, Connie, and Fletcher all brought home medals in the Inter-Schools Tournament—well done to them all!

The sporting action continues this weekend with our Under-14 girls rugby team competing in a major tournament at Kingsley, our gymnasts taking part in the Southwest Schools Tumbling Tournament, and our Year 3-9 judoka heading to an invitational competition. Meanwhile, our boarders will be skiing in Plymouth—not quite St. Moritz, but still an exciting trip!

Next Thursday 6th March is World Book Day! In the Senior School, students can dress as their favourite book character or wear normal uniform, while Prep School students will enjoy a pajama reading day.
