The Power of Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Kingsley Devon, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls. Real-world experiences offer unique opportunities for students to apply their knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Our recent trip to London with Year 13 Geographers and Year 12 Artists is a perfect example of this.

Geographers:

For our geographers, this trip was an invaluable opportunity to bring their studies to life. By visiting key locations like the London Docklands and the Olympic Park they were able to gain a deeper understanding of urban regeneration and its impact on cities.

Artists:

Our artists were inspired by the diverse art scene in London. They explored the vibrant street art of Brick Lane and Shoreditch, spotting a few elusive Banksy pieces along the way. A visit to the Wellcome Collection allowed them to delve into the history of work, health, and rights, and to appreciate a mix of historical and contemporary art.
