Mr Pavis' Video Newsletter: Friday May 10th 2024

Welcome to this week's video newsletter from Mr. Pavis and Kingsley! This Monday, our community celebrated the May Day Fair, a highlight that brings together students, parents, and the wider community for festive activities like the tombola and welly wanging. A big thank you to the PTA and all who contributed to making it a memorable day.

Our adventurous spirit continues with the successful completion of the Exmoor Challenge by three teams, and now we look forward to this weekend's Ten Tors event, with four teams participating in challenging hikes across Dartmoor.

We also had a fantastic nutritional workshop led by Dr. Pavis from the University of Exeter, enhancing our Sports Scholars and Ace sports program. The students learned to make their own energy drinks, a healthier and more cost-effective alternative to commercial options.

Special recognition goes to Isla, Bessie, Derin, and Louie, who had the wonderful opportunity to sing with Britain's Got Talent finalist Tom Ball at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstable.

As we are in the midst of public examination season, our library has become a bustling hub of study and preparation. Best of luck to all students currently undergoing their exams. Enjoy the sunny weather and have a great weekend!
