It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Kingsley! This week, the festive spirit is in full swing with beautiful trees decorating our school and plenty of holiday cheer.

Congratulations to the Kingsley Sings Choir for their wonderful assembly performance and to Evie for her solo in the On the Bridge concert. Our Year 10 drama students enjoyed an exciting workshop with acclaimed playwright Mark Wheeller, who even shared their work on his YouTube channel!

This week, Year 12 geographers explored London on a field trip and attended the Changing Places lecture at Plymouth University. In Hospitality, Trixie showcased her skills in the Young Chef of the Year competition at Petroc—well done!

In sports, our gymnasts delivered exceptional performances with Tiger earning team silver and individual bronze, while Maddie secured team gold and individual silver. The U16 and U14 netball teams both celebrated victories this week, while the U15s narrowly missed out in their fixture. The U13 rugby team claimed the Stover Cup in a fantastic win against strong competition, and the U15s put up a great effort in their semi-final against Braunton, who we wish the best of luck in the final. We also extend our best wishes to Elise, Elvis, and Harrison as they head to the Olympic Pool in London for the ISA National Swimming Finals this weekend.

Back on the Christmas theme, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our Christmas Fair this Saturday in the sports hall. It promises to be a fantastic occasion packed with festive fun, so bring along your pocket money and stock up on Christmas presents! Take care, enjoy the festivities, and see you at the fair.
