This week at Kingsley, we’re shifting into festive gear! With the Year 11 and Year 13 mock exams now complete, attention turns to our upcoming mock results day, giving students a real sense of what August will feel like. Destinations interviews for Year 11s are also around the corner.

On the sports front, it’s been another action-packed week. Our U13s rugby team shone at the Stover Cup, beating Shebbear, Plymouth College and Mount Kelly before narrowly missing out on the final against Stover. Shoutout to Gregory for being named player of the tournament. The U14s secured a dominant win over Mount Kelly - congratulations to Matthew for our player of the match, and our seniors battled to a thrilling 31–31 draw. Well done to James who was our player of the match there too. Meanwhile, the senior footballers continued their winning streak with Zack winning player of the match, and the U15s wrapped up their FA Cup run with a hard-fought game against Truro. Well done to George, you were the player of the match there!

Across the country, our swimmers are competing at the Olympic pool in London in the ISA national finals—good luck to the whole squad! And in huge news, Kingsley has officially become the UK’s first Surfing England accredited school. A massive thank you to the surf team for making this possible and for supporting student wellbeing every step of the way.

From emotional literacy support in Early Years to West End theatre trips for our drama students, it’s been a rich and varied week of learning. Our Earth Centre has also been buzzing—Year 7s mulching, Year 9s conducting their annual tree survey, and students exploring fast fashion and sustainability through an upcycling project.

The Surf Centre has been hard at work too—designing and printing Kingsley-branded merchandise ready to sell at the Christmas Fair on Saturday 6 December. Come along, pick up some gifts, and celebrate a brilliant end to the term with us!
