Excitement is in the air at Kingsley as we prepare for our upcoming school show, Fame, scheduled for the 5th and 6th of February. Rehearsals are in full swing, with students perfecting their singing, dancing, and acting. Don’t miss this spectacular evening of entertainment – tickets are available now on the school website!

This week’s “On the Bridge” concert was another wonderful showcase of student talent, featuring outstanding performances by our guitar and ukulele groups, including a brilliant rendition of “Stairway to Heaven.” A huge well done to everyone who participated and supported the event.

On the sports front, our netball teams had a stellar week at the Southwest Championships. The U11s finished third, earning a place in the national finals in Warwick, while the U13s secured a strong fifth place. The U17 football team kicked off their season against Romar, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more action on the newly opened Grenville Pitch next week. Meanwhile, our cross-country runners braved tough conditions at the Southwest ISA Cross Country Tournament in Gloucestershire, with six students qualifying for the national finals in Nottingham. Congratulations to all our determined athletes, they showed real grit and resilience. Academically, we hosted a successful Year 9 options evening, helping students plan their GCSE pathways. Our Year 12 and 13 Chemistry students tackled the national Chemistry Olympiad, demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills. We’re eagerly awaiting the results and preparing for the upcoming Biology Olympiad, where our A-level students will compete on a national stage.
