Welcome to this week’s Kingsley Devon newsletter! We’re thrilled to unveil our brand-new 3G sports pitch, a state-of-the-art facility that marks a transformative moment for our school and the wider community. This pitch ensures uninterrupted sports sessions for all 460 Kingsley students every week, regardless of weather, and supports over 500 young people in the evenings through partnerships with Bideford Rugby Club and Romar at the North Devon Development Centre for Football. With rugby and football development programmes for boys and girls, including the fast-growing sport of girls’ rugby, this facility is a game-changer for North Devon. As we look ahead to the Women’s Rugby World Cup next year, we’re excited to play a role in fostering the sport’s rapid growth.

Congratulations to our Year 11 and Year 13 students for completing their mock exams this week—we wish you the best for your results! Despite the cancellation of the Exeter Cathedral concert due to snow, we’re looking forward to a rescheduled performance. Well done to Izzy for achieving a merit in her Grade 1 flute exam and to our MFL ambassadors, Rudi, Nathaniel, and Imogen, who are set to lead exciting language initiatives.

Next week, Year 13 geographers and art students head to London, while our judoka compete in Kidderminster. Our boarders will cheer on Bristol City at Ashton Gate, and our dedicated surfers continue winter sessions, combining shaping projects with STEM and sustainability efforts at the Earth Centre.

Don’t forget our Christmas Fair next Saturday, organised by the PTA. Join us for a festive day to kick off the season!
