Mr Pavis' Video Newsletter: Friday 12th June

For our Year 11 and Year 13 students, the familiar scene of the last four or five weeks is finally coming to an end — GCSE, A-level and vocational exams are wrapping up, with the last few taking place today and at the start of next week. Wednesday brings the Year 11 Prom, and Friday sees our Year 13 students celebrate at their Leavers Dinner. Year 7, 8 and 9 also completed their end of year examinations today. Well done to all of you — not just for the last few weeks, but for the years of hard work that have brought you to this point. We look forward to results in August for Year 11 and 13, and in just a couple of weeks for Year 7, 8 and 9.

On the sports front, our students competed in the North Devon Schools Athletics Round Two on Wednesday evening, and tomorrow nine of our students head to the North Devon Athletics Finals — good luck to all of you. Earlier this week we were at the North Devon Schools Swimming Gala, coming away with two golds, two silvers and four bronzes, with a special mention for Matthew. Our Under 14 and Under 15 girls played rounders against St Joseph's, with Izzy, Willow and Dylan standing out — thank you to St Joseph's for the fixture.

Our Year 7s were back at Orchard Farm this week, continuing their work on environmental sustainability as part of the Earth Centre pathway. And next week we'll be celebrating the very first cohort of Year 9 students to complete the Kingsley Earth Centre Diploma — a three-year programme they began back in Year 7. A wonderful achievement.

This weekend our Swell Chasers are out catching waves, our boarders are getting wet at Adrenaline Quarry, and the rest of us will be soaking up the sunshine at Tabs Fest — held in aid of Tabitha's Smile, a charity right at the heart of the Kingsley family, in memory of Tabs.
