Culinary Delights at Kingsley School

Welcome, Mrs. Heale!

We're thrilled to welcome Mrs. Heale to our Food and Hospitality department. Her passion for cooking and her expertise in the culinary arts has already inspired our Year 7, 8, and 9 students to whip up some delicious dishes.

Over the past few weeks, our young chefs have been busy experimenting in the kitchen.

• They've delved into the science of cooking, exploring the fascinating process of enzymatic browning in fruits and mastering the art of baking bread rolls.
• These budding bakers have been experimenting with cakes and stir-fries, learning about different flavours and techniques.
• Our students have honed their pastry skills, creating delectable jam tarts and comforting fruit crumbles.

Beyond the Kitchen

In addition to their culinary adventures, our students have also been developing essential life skills, such as washing up and safe knife handling. These skills will not only benefit them in the kitchen but also in their everyday lives.
