About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Science Technician to support our dynamic Science Department across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
The department teaches the three sciences through to A-Level and runs the school's STEM Pathway, so the role covers a wide range of practical work and a well-equipped set of laboratories.
What the job involves
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons across all three sciences
- Ensure laboratories and prep rooms are safe, organised, and fully equipped
- Support the delivery of practical work at GCSE and A-Level
- Maintain equipment and manage stock, including chemicals and consumables
- Uphold the highest standards of health and safety
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly organised, reliable, and able to manage a varied workload
- Has a keen eye for detail and a practical, hands-on approach
- Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy school environment
- Has a good understanding of science, with experience in a school or lab setting desirable but not essential
- Is committed to supporting young people in their learning
