About the role
Join our team at Kingsley School
Are you a practical, enthusiastic and approachable IT professional who enjoys solving problems and helping others? Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive school environment where your technical skills can make a real difference every day?

About the role
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will help ensure that the school's IT systems, devices and networks operate effectively, supporting both teaching and learning and the wider administration of the school.
No two days will be quite the same. From troubleshooting technical problems in classrooms to installing new equipment and supporting staff and students with their devices, you will play an important role in keeping our school connected and running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, responsive IT support to students and staff.
- Acting as a first point of contact for technical queries, whether in person, by telephone or email.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining computers, software and network equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Supporting a wide variety of devices, including those belonging to staff and students.
- Testing and deploying new equipment and software.
- Repairing or replacing faulty IT equipment and peripherals.
About you
We are looking for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine willingness to help others.
You will ideally have:
- Good practical knowledge of computer hardware, software and networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A friendly, patient and approachable manner.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people of different ages and levels of technical confidence.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and developing your skills.
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra would be advantageous, as would previous experience in a school or educational setting, although neither is essential.
