Football at Kingsley

The Ferdinand Collective, founded by Julian Ferdinand and his sons, former international footballers Rio and Anton Ferdinand, provides the framework, coaches and programme for the FC Rise | Kingsley Devon 16+ team, and for all of the teams in our FC Kingsley Football Academy, from Year 3 up to Year 13.

This collaboration ensures that our young players receive the very highest quality coaching and development programmes, play against the best teams in the country and have access to a number of player development pathways and opportunities with a range of professional football clubs at home and abroad.

We harness the positive power of football to give young people a sense of identity and community so that they develop as people as well as players. A place where they can belong.

FC Devon

FC Devon (formerly Romar Sports and the Regional Talent Centre) was born when Coach/Founder Andy Rose decided to use his previous experience in professional football and his extensive coaching experience to provide a high quality multi-sport and football coaching programme in the south of England.

FC Devon provides the coaching for the FC Rise | Kingsley Devon squad, and also our FC Kingsley Football Academy. It also runs a community club at the school in the evenings for a range of young players - including our own football scholars - looking to receive extra technical, tactical and quality training to progress as individuals.

Mental: Develops strategic thinking, boosts confidence, promotes resilience, and enhances problem-solving skills. The mental toughness required in football translates into better academic performance and personal growth.
