Why Kingsley

Here at Kingsley in the Early years department we support the children’s learning and development through following the early years foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum which sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.

We celebrate the natural environment around us, exploring our fantastic grounds and facilities, bringing wonder and curiosity into children’s experiences. We have a ‘Hygge’ ethos which is a Danish approach to living in the moment and providing a homely, calm and natural environment for the children to learn and explore in.

·       Personal, social and emotional development,

·       Mathematics,

·       Understanding the world,

Beyond Learning

We assess and track children’s progress through observations and reviews in which we share with the parents throughout their time with us. Children’s progress will be reviewed when they’re between 2 and 3 years old by their key worker and shared with the parents and health visitor for their 2 year progress check.

More Than a School

A wide range of activities helps children develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. As the children develop, we foster their skills in language, reading and number work. Dance, music, art, cooking, swimming and physical education are also included in our sessions. We aim to ensure that your child is safe, happy and fulfilled during their early years education with us here at Kingsley
