Achieving success and happiness
At Kingsley, academic success is about more than examination grades.
We are proudly inclusive and welcome students with a wide range of abilities, interests and starting points. Our aim is to help every young person make excellent progress, develop confidence and achieve the qualifications they need for the next stage of their education and life.
Our broad academic curriculum, small classes and individual support are complemented by the wider Kingsley experience – from sport, surfing and outdoor education to performing arts, STEM and our Earth Centre programme.
We believe that happy, confident young people learn best.
Progress that matters
Kingsley is a non-selective and highly inclusive school. For us, one of the most important measures of academic success is therefore the progress an individual student makes from their own starting point.
In 2026, our KS4 value-added measure was +0.5 (top 12% of all schools across England and Wales)

Top 12% of all schools nationally for academic achievement at GCSE, with a value-added score of +0.5.
Top 10% of all schools nationally for academic achievement at GCSE in science.
GCSE Grade 9 awards are significantly above the national average.
A-level outcomes were rated ALPS Grade 3 in 2026, placing us in the top 25% percentile using this measure.

Our students achieved strong results across the GCSE curriculum in 2026, with particularly impressive performance in Mathematics and Science.

Almost 99% of A-level entries achieved an A–E grade*, while more than three quarters achieved A*–C.
Independent ALPS analysis of our 2026 A-level results gave Kingsley an ALPS Grade 3, demonstrating strong progress for our Sixth Form students.

More than examination results
Qualifications matter, but a Kingsley education is about much more than a set of grades.
We want our students to leave us as confident, resilient and compassionate young adults who understand their strengths and are excited about their futures.
Our academic curriculum works alongside the wider opportunities available through sport, outdoor and coastal education, performing arts, sustainability, STEM, leadership and service. Together, these experiences help students discover their passions, develop their confidence and achieve more than they may once have thought possible.
These results reflect our belief that there is no single definition of academic success. By providing high-quality academic and vocational pathways, we help students find the route that best matches their talents and future ambitions.
