Performing Arts Pathway

Inspiring creativity and developing confidence

All students from Year 3 to Year 9 are enrolled in the Performing Arts Academy and will be working towards their relevant Arts Award certificate, with many in Years 10-13 going on to achieve their silver and gold awards. This programme provides a broad exposure to the arts, including creative arts, to help develop cultural capital and literacy as part of our “better me – better world” agenda.

Harmony in Development

Nurturing Artistic Talents through Performance and Education

Identified students and scholars in their chosen disciplines can develop their talents and their interests further through an annual programme of performance opportunities and workshops. Musicians are encouraged to continue with their individual music lessons, working towards their ABRSM grades, and as such will be members of the relevant performance group, be it choir, orchestra or ensemble.

Spotlight on Creativity

Unleashing Theatrical Potential at Our School

Students are also offered LAMDA coaching and enjoy success in their introductory, performance and communication examinations in both the Prep and the Senior School.

Whilst the highlight of the year on the stage is the annual whole school show, there are also performance opportunities each term in small group theatre, monologues and duologues, assemblies and public arts events. Successful theatre isn’t only about the actors of course, there are opportunities for students to get involved in the technical side of theatre, including sound, lighting, set-design, props, make-up and costume.
