Students at Kingsley School Devon, an independent school in Bideford, North Devon, are celebrating the best set of GCSE results in the school's history on GCSE results day, with Kingsley placed in the top 25% nationally for academic achievement.
72% of grades were 9 to 4, significantly above the national figure, and girls at Kingsley ranked in the top 10% nationally for academic achievement. Non-SEND students also placed in the top 10% nationally, while students with SEND were among the top 40% nationally, reflecting the strength of Kingsley's whole-school SEND provision, delivered through the school's dedicated Connect Centre.
Rob Pavis, Kingsley Headmaster, said the results reflected the hard work of the whole school community.
"This is our best set of GCSE results yet. To be placed in the top 25% of schools nationally for academic achievement, with our girls in the top 10% of students nationally, is testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff. We are enormously proud of every single one of them."

Music and Drama results placed in the top 3% nationally for academic achievement, while Modern Foreign Languages and Combined Science results placed in the top 10% nationally. Music had a particularly strong year, with 85% of results graded 7 to 9, and vocational results achieved a 100% pass rate across the board. These strong GCSE results build a solid foundation as students progress into Kingsley's Sixth Form and its broader Core and Wider Curriculum pathways.
