This week's highlight was undoubtedly the Ten Tors 24 event on Dartmoor National Park! Kingsley School fielded an impressive four teams, all with the same goals: conquer the challenge and have a blast doing it!
- Jubilee Team: Abi, Maisie, and Dami tackled a demanding 11-mile trek on Saturday.
- Jubilee Plus Team: Huk-Hang, Logan, Mark, and Aaron embarked on a 17.7-mile odyssey across open moorland, complete with an overnight camp at Prewley Moor.
- 35 Miles Team - Year 9: Elise, Theo, Henry, Ryan, Logan, and Jake navigated their way over 10 Tors across a challenging 35-mile course.
- 35 Miles Team - Year 10: James, Frazer, Finlay, Raife, Edward, and Kevin also conquered the 35-mile course, summiting 10 Tors along the way.
While the weather was glorious, it was also unexpectedly hot. The students, having trained through a long, cold winter, weren't quite prepared for these scorching conditions. Despite this hurdle, all four teams persevered and completed their challenges within the allotted time! A huge "Bravo!" to all the Ten Tors participants for this incredible achievement.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the fantastic Kingsley staff who made this possible through countless training weekends: Ms Brent, Mrs Mimpriss, Mr Whaley, Mr Hall, and Mr Harty. Their dedication and support were instrumental in the teams' success.
