A Level Results Day

A Level Results Day

Sixth form students at Kingsley School celebrate today having achieved A level and BTEC results that surpass pre-Covid, and now post-Covid national averages.

The top performing subjects at Kingsley this year were Spanish, Sport and Italian, with 100% of pupils studying these subjects achieving A,* or A* equivalent. Top student performers include Eve, who achieved A* A A B and heads off to Oxford in the Autumn to study Engineering, and Fintan, who travels to UCL to study Natural Sciences, having achieved A*A*A A, and Elijah who heads off to Kings College to read European Studies and Spanish.

All Kingsley students applying to universities this year have had their places confirmed and are now making plans for the next stage of their education. Students taking gap years or starting full-time employment or training do so with excellent results on which to build their careers.

Kingsley student Fintan said: “Joining Kingsley Sixth Form was a good decision. I’ve loved the teaching style here and the smaller classes, and having access to my teachers and tutors for additional support, whenever needed, has been great.”

Deputy Head boy Elijah said: “I am so happy with my results, I have got A* A* A B and an A in my EPQ. I have got the grades I was hoping for to get into my university choice, Kings College in London, to study European Studies and Spanish. My friends and I have all worked hard, which has paid off for us all today. Thank you to all my teachers at Kingsley.”

Headteacher Robert Pavis says, “This has been an extraordinary cohort of students who have been affected most by the pandemic and who have had to work extra hard to overcome this adversity. They have had to become strong independent learners and this is reflected in these fantastic results. I am thrilled for the school, the teachers who have worked so hard to support the students, but most of all for the students themselves who really do deserve their achievements.”
