Pupils from Year 2 to Year 13 have represented Kingsley School in an exceptional range of fixtures and competitions this term — from introductory matches to elite‑level contests, showcasing the depth, ambition, and inclusive spirit of our sporting culture.
STRONG PARTICIPATION AND IMPRESSIVE PROGRESS
Across all sports, pupils displayed outstanding commitment and enthusiasm. Rugby and netball were particular highlights, with teams embracing competitive challenges and demonstrating rapid improvement. A packed fixture schedule allowed pupils to strengthen their skills, develop teamwork, and gain valuable competitive experience.
OUR SPORTING PATHWAYS
Inspire & Engage Pupils enjoyed their early opportunities to represent Kingsley. These fixtures were full of energy, excitement, and growing game awareness, helping young athletes develop confidence and build a lifelong foundation for sport.
Develop & Play Teams made clear, steady progress throughout the term. Pupils demonstrated enhanced tactical understanding, more confident decision‑making, and improved consistency — with performances strengthening week after week.
Compete Our Compete squads faced strong and often experienced opposition but rose to the challenge with resilience and determination. Many fixtures were closely contested, highlighting the maturity, organisation, and ambition within our senior teams.

Rugby — A Landmark Term of Achievement
Rugby was a standout success this term, featuring a full programme of fixtures across all age groups. Teams continued to develop structure, physicality, and tactical awareness throughout the season.
A historic achievement came from our U14 squad, who were crowned:
- Devon County Champions
- ISA National Champions
This double title represents one of Kingsley's most significant rugby accomplishments in recent years and reflects the exceptional talent and teamwork within the group. Younger teams also enjoyed superb success, laying strong foundations for the future of rugby at Kingsley School.
Netball — A Term of Exceptional Growth and Breakthrough Results
Netball experienced one of its strongest developmental periods in recent memory. Teams showed impressive improvements in shooting accuracy, movement, and on‑court understanding. This growth translated into notable competitive success, including:
- Standout performances in the North Devon Tournaments
- Significant victories over local rivals West Buckland and Shebbear
These results reflect the programme's strengthening competitiveness and the hard work of both players and coaches.
Prep School — A Foundation of Excellence
The Prep School played a vital role in the term's overall success, with pupils demonstrating excellent participation, enthusiasm, and improvement. A particularly impressive milestone came from our U9 team, who were crowned:
- Bremco XC League Champions
This achievement highlights the growing depth and quality in prep‑level sport at Kingsley, promising a bright future for teams moving up through the school.
