The Great Nursery Gingerbread Man Hunt at Kingsley!
At Kingsley, even the smallest students know how to turn an ordinary day into a grand adventure!
This week, our Nursery children set off on an exciting mission: to recover a group of cheeky gingerbread men who had mysteriously escaped during their morning cookery lesson. The trail led them far beyond the kitchen… all the way to the Headmaster’s office!
Led by their teachers and welcomed by Mr Pavis himself, the children launched a full-scale gingerbread investigation in the heart of the senior school. With the help of Nursery staff and some very enthusiastic sleuthing, they searched everywhere: under tables, behind doors, inside bins, and even tucked behind the sofa.
Just as hope was beginning to fade, Mr Pavis had a flash of inspiration. “Let’s check my secret treasure box,” he suggested. The children gathered around as he opened the lid, and there they were! Every last one of the runaway gingerbread men, hiding safely and waiting to be found.
With huge smiles (and even bigger sighs of relief), the children carefully collected the biscuits and tucked them into a box for safe transport back to the Nursery for decoration and taking home to be enjoyed with the family. To finish off the day, Mr Pavis gathered the children for a lively reading of the much-loved Gingerbread Man story, delighting the children with his animated storytelling.
What a wonderful adventure, from the cookery classroom to the Headmaster’s office and back again! A huge thank you to our Nursery team, the children, and of course Mr Pavis, for turning a missing biscuit mystery into a magical memory.
