This is your opportunity to join FC Rise, Kingsley’s elite Sixth Form football programme delivered in partnership with the Ferdinand Collective.
A New Programme. A Strong Identity. A Terrific First Term.
Launching a brand-new programme with a newly formed squad always brings uncertainty — but FC Rise has made an outstanding start.
The first term focused on laying non-negotiable foundations:
work the hardest, show respect, and communicate positively. These principles are fully controllable, require no technical expertise, and allow every player to demonstrate commitment from day one.
Once these habits were embedded, the programme introduced clear principles of play, with more structured tactical sessions designed to create a recognisable identity — a style of football that spectators would instantly identify as “our way”. This balance of discipline, clarity, and expression sits at the heart of the Ferdinand Collective philosophy of empowering the player and building the person.
The impact has been clear in competitive fixtures.
In the league, FC Rise has played seven games, recording six wins and one draw, and scoring an impressive 62 goals. The squad has shown creativity and confidence going forward, alongside growing resilience, organisation, and defensive discipline.
Communication and collective understanding have been key — especially within a squad made up of nearly 50% international players. The welcoming culture, togetherness, and mutual respect shown across the group have been a real strength, with emerging leaders driving standards daily.
Captain Liam has been exceptional, taking on leadership responsibilities both on and off the pitch — a perfect example of the programme’s emphasis on developing the person as well as the player.
FC Rise is about far more than matchdays. Players have actively contributed to the wider school community, including supporting a primary school girls’ football tournament by coaching teams, refereeing matches, and managing scoring.
These experiences matter. They help players become positive role models, develop confidence, and understand the responsibility that comes with leadership.
Off the pitch, players are being encouraged to broaden their horizons:
Six players are now involved in men’s football, with several featuring weekly
Others are gaining valuable experience through work and officiating, including roles within the Kingsley community
Injured players are supported creatively, remaining involved through coaching, analysis, and individual player reports
This holistic approach ensures that football opens doors — not just to professional pathways, but to education, employment, and lifelong skills.
Kingsley School is proud to support talented footballers through generous scholarships:
Up to 85% scholarships available for top-performing players
Every selected FC Rise player receives a minimum 25% scholarship
This makes FC Rise one of the most accessible elite football pathways in the region.
