Mr Pavis' Video Newsletter: Friday 4th April

Welcome to the final video newsletter of the spring term!

This week we’re outside the Prep School, where the Easter Bunny has made a surprise visit, delighting our youngest students during their Easter egg hunt across the grounds.

It’s been a wonderful week of celebration and community. On Monday, we hosted the Prep School Music Festival in our theatre, welcoming young performers from Kingsley and West Buckland, showcasing the musical talent of the next generation.

Tuesday saw our inaugural Stretch & Challenge academic day, with students from across Devon — including Exeter and Plymouth — joining Kingsley pupils for a series of intellectually stimulating workshops, encouraging curiosity and academic ambition.

On Wednesday, the whole senior school came together for inter-house football and netball competitions. Spirits were high, and the highlight was the staff vs. students netball match — with a dramatic turnaround led by Mr Harty securing a thrilling win for the staff!

Thursday brought our Easter Service at St Mary’s Church in Bideford — a beautiful opportunity for the Kingsley community to reflect and gather before the holidays. In the evening, boarders enjoyed their end-of-term concert in Belvoir House, followed by a fantastic student performance of Play 2.0 in the theatre — a creative, high-energy production that wowed the audience.

And today, we round off the term with an Easter celebration and our end-of-term awards assembly, recognising students for their academic effort and achievements across the curriculum.

Thank you to all our staff, students, and families for a fantastic term. Wishing everyone a restful, joyful Easter break — and we’ll see you again in the summer term!
