Mrs Sarah Parsons

I have taught Mathematics in North Devon for over 25 years, 16 of these have been at Kingsley. I love living in North Devon, getting outside and just being in such beautiful surroundings. I have raised my two children in Bideford and my family continues to live in the local area. I enjoy keeping fit, local history and listening to live music.

Mathematics is fundamental for every single student in this school, feeding into a great many other subjects and in the real world. I strive to give every student confidence and determination, encouraging them to see the beauty in numbers and embrace the challenges of learning this subject. How many times do we hear people say that they just 'can't do maths' or that 'numbers aren't their thing'? It is so important, at school and at home, for children to remain positive about maths, it will open many doors for them in the future. At Kingsley we will always say that 'you can do it' and 'have a go'!
